New projects, nonprofit AI, and more: April newsletter

Welcome …

… to our April newsletter.

Here in the Boston area, spring is finally upon us and bringing with it a feeling of renewal, enthusiasm, and optimism.

For us, April includes launching two new nonprofit client projects (see one of these below), as well as interviewing CSR and social impact leaders on how companies are working with nonprofit partners, what’s changing, and what makes for great partnerships.

We’re also strengthening AI capabilities to support project delivery. See our “Leveraging AI for Nonprofit ABM” article below to learn how we applied ABM in a recent project, saving the client hundreds of hours of work.

Finally, we’re continuing to track key trends and initiatives across the world of ABM for Good, including: A new report on the AI usage in corporate citizenship teams, a call for corporations to be more strategic in how they partner with nonprofits, and a huge new endowment for the Liberty Mutual Foundation.

Interested in pitching in? Let us know how you’d like to help.

Project Spotlight: CTA Foundation

CTA owns and produces the industry-leading global tech event CES®. The CTA Foundation is a public, national foundation dedicated to connecting people with disabilities and older adults to technologies that enhance their lives.

Can you suggest other organizations that might benefit from the ABM for Good approach? We’d love to talk!

Dave Munn, former roles as CEO of ITSMA and Partner, Momentum ITSMA, shares his reasons for helping found and build ABM for Good.

What We’re Tracking

Research and insights shaping our work from the worlds of nonprofit development, corporate social impact, and marketing.

2026 Outlook for Corporate Citizenship and Philanthropy
The report, summarized in the Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance, explores the budgets, barriers, opportunities, and priorities of 70 corporate citizenship leaders.

Treat Nonprofits as Strategic Partners, Not Just Philanthropic Recipients
“Nonprofits are not merely beneficiaries of corporate generosity . . . [t]hey influence how problems are defined, which solutions gain legitimacy, and how corporate actions are interpreted. When firms relegate nonprofits to philanthropy alone, they leave a strategic asset unused.”

Liberty Mutual Insurance Establishes $600 Million Endowment to Build Stronger, More Resilient Communities
The endowment enables the Boston-based company to increase the Foundation’s nonprofit partnerships that advance housing stability, workforce development, and climate resiliency.
